Now Hear This!

I just want to throw it out there for all to know:

Even though he's giving me shots every night that hurt like nothing I've ever known,

And we can't have a baby the way everyone else does (the "fun" way [which is NOT his fault]),

Barbarosa is my favorite person on earth. He makes my heart sing. He makes those blues run. He makes everyday joyful, even when he doesn't feel like it. He makes me remember that there's only ONE person whose opinion matters (which I often forget).

I'm truly BLESSED to have him walking with me. I really like holding his hand. I love my Monkey.

So there.

Who is this Monkey person about whom you speak so fondly? I need to meet him. Sounds like a cool guy!

The Back Story

Brett and I have been married since November 2004. We met when we were 19, gave it an early try (but it didn't work out) and started dating (for real, this time) in 2001 when I moved back here from New Orleans.

I was diagnosed with PCOS (polycystic ovaries) in late 2001. When we decided to start trying to conceive (TTC) in 2005, we knew it was going to be difficult. Our biggest clue was that my doctor put us on Clomid from the start. We haven't ever had a very hard time getting pregnant. We've been pregnant 6 times! With the exception of the most recent loss, they've all been at 7 weeks or earlier. Two of our losses were even before the doctor could confirm the pregnancies! Our last pregnancy lasted until the 10th week. This time, we were under the care of a specialist. He was able to get some answers about our losses.

We began our first round of in vitro treatments in April.

This is the story of how we're going to get our Miracle Baby.
