Beyond Grateful

I believe that Life Happens.I believe that Moments in Life happen and are as easily ignored as cherished. A friend of mine posted this link on YouTube. It's about life's Moments. This video is one of the most beautiful Reminders of Life's Moments that I've ever had the pleasure of watching. One of the instants the video brings to mind is birth. At that, I was stopped in my tracks. I don't think that in all of my obsession with the Science and the miracle of Science I have stopped to really praise God for the pure, unadulterated JOY that He has chosen to bless us with until today. I truly believe that God has a Plan that is Infinitely Greater than and plan we could ever come up with. I am beside myself, right now, in Awe and Joy and Gratitude for the Lives that Brett & I are getting ready to welcome. Praise Him!

The Back Story

Brett and I have been married since November 2004. We met when we were 19, gave it an early try (but it didn't work out) and started dating (for real, this time) in 2001 when I moved back here from New Orleans.

I was diagnosed with PCOS (polycystic ovaries) in late 2001. When we decided to start trying to conceive (TTC) in 2005, we knew it was going to be difficult. Our biggest clue was that my doctor put us on Clomid from the start. We haven't ever had a very hard time getting pregnant. We've been pregnant 6 times! With the exception of the most recent loss, they've all been at 7 weeks or earlier. Two of our losses were even before the doctor could confirm the pregnancies! Our last pregnancy lasted until the 10th week. This time, we were under the care of a specialist. He was able to get some answers about our losses.

We began our first round of in vitro treatments in April.

This is the story of how we're going to get our Miracle Baby.
